Skillpix may disclose your Personal Data — including data retained after account deletion — in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:

• Comply with a legal obligation: We will cooperate fully with law enforcement agencies, courts, regulatory bodies, and government authorities in India and worldwide. This includes compliance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 (India), the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), GDPR (where applicable), Mutual Legal Assistance Treaties (MLATs), and any other applicable domestic or international legal frameworks.
• Respond to Law Enforcement Requests: Upon receipt of a valid subpoena, court order, search warrant, national security letter, government directive, or any other legally binding request, Skillpix will disclose user data — including records pertaining to deleted accounts — to the requesting authority. We are under no obligation to notify you before or after such a disclosure, unless expressly required by applicable law.
• Protect and defend the rights or property of Skillpix: Including intellectual property rights, platform integrity, and the enforcement of our Terms of Service.
• Prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing: In connection with the Service, including fraud, harassment, abuse, identity theft, or cybercrimes — including in relation to accounts that have been deleted.
• Protect the personal safety of users of the Service or the public.
• Protect against legal liability.

We reserve the right to share your information with third-party service providers for the purpose of operating our business and the Service. Disclosure of archived or deleted account data to law enforcement or legal authorities does not require your consent and may occur without prior notice to you.

When you delete your Skillpix account, your active profile is removed from our live platform. However, Skillpix retains an internal archive of certain account data for a default period of up to two (2) years following deletion. This retained archive may include:

• Account identifiers (user ID, name, email address)
• Account role, subscription tier, and billing history
• The reason and feedback provided for account deletion, where applicable
• The IP address from which the deletion request was initiated
• Account creation date and deletion date
• Any prior moderation history, including bans, warnings, or flags

This retention serves the following purposes:

• Legal & Regulatory Compliance: To meet obligations under Indian law (including the IT Act, 2000 and DPDP Act, 2023) and applicable international regulations.
• Fraud Prevention & Platform Integrity: To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents associated with the account, even after deletion.
• Dispute Resolution: To resolve any claims, disputes, or chargebacks arising from your use of the Service before or after deletion.
• Law Enforcement & Government Requests: To respond to valid legal processes, subpoenas, court orders, government investigations, or directives from competent authorities that require access to records of former users.

Legal Hold: Skillpix reserves the right to place any account archive under a legal hold, indefinitely suspending the scheduled purge date, if we have reason to believe the data may be relevant to ongoing or anticipated litigation, a law enforcement investigation, a regulatory proceeding, or a government request. A legal hold overrides any scheduled deletion timeline and remains in effect until Skillpix, at its sole discretion, lifts it. You will not necessarily be notified when a legal hold is placed on your archived data.

By using the Service and requesting account deletion, you acknowledge and consent to this archival practice as described in this Policy and our Terms of Service.

The security of your data is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your data. To exercise these rights, please contact us at support@skillpix.com.

Important Limitations on the Right to Deletion: Your right to request erasure of your data is subject to significant limitations. Even after you submit an account deletion request, Skillpix may lawfully retain your data under the circumstances described in Section 5 (Data Retention & Post-Deletion Archival) above. Specifically, we are not required to honour or process a deletion request — or are permitted to delay its fulfilment — when:

• Retention is required by applicable law or regulation;
• The data is subject to a legal hold, court order, subpoena, or government directive;
• The data is necessary for the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims;
• Skillpix determines, in its sole discretion, that retention is necessary to prevent fraud, abuse, or harm to the platform or other users.

All data rights requests are subject to Skillpix's executive powers to maintain platform integrity and security as outlined in our Terms of Service. We reserve the right to retain data necessary for legal compliance, dispute resolution, and enforcement of our agreements, notwithstanding any deletion request.

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13 ("Children"). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Children has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.
